T-Mobile and Google Join Hands - Google Android Phone Out In USA

Posted on 25 September 2008 by Admin

On September 24th, It was officially announced that T-Mobile will be launching Google’s Most awaited Android Phone in USA in mid of September. It is said that The price tag will be $399 full retail or about $150 for a subsized phone with a two-year contract while some sites like Tech2 Says the Price would be somewhere near $179 for 2 year contract with T-Mobile.

As per Cnet Even though the new Android phone is supposed to be 3G capable, subscribers may be disappointed in the 3G experience. T-Mobile is far behind its competitors in rolling out 3G service, with the faster-speed service available only in two markets, New York and Las Vegas. That said, T-Mobile is working to get the service up and running in at least 20 to 25 cities by the end of the year. And it will continue deploying it through 2009. But rolling out a new network is time consuming. So don’t expect great coverage anytime soon.

Also It Says, they’ll be offering a $10-a-month voice over IP service for subscribers of this service. But the main thing in here is, Can it beat this century’s hottest Phone - Iphone ?? It Actually cost $20 less than the iPhone, and G1 (Google Android Phone) will be available from October 22.

For me, it just look like yet another “Chinese Cell Phones” that are dumped everywhere in the world by chinese. Checkout few photos that i could manage to gather of G1 Phone

Posted on 23 September 2008 by Admin

9/01/2008, The long anticipated release of the google web browser is here. There are already indexed links to the download page but it is not currently up yet. Sometime today this download will be live though. Google announced the release of an open-source web browser known as Google Chrome, a beta version which will be released on Tuesday in more than 100 countries.

Google Chrome Statistics and Usage

But Webmasters, over the world has same worry about privacy, not many webmasters are really open to use Google’s Browser Chrome as everyone is aware that Google’s Main reason behind this launch is data collection and analysis.

I have personally installed it and So far I’m a bit impressed. Seems like a mixture of FireFox and Opera so far. Haven’t tested it to much yet so we’ll see if the impressiveness continues.

It did automatically take all the bookmarks and passwords etc from firefox during the install so I didn’t have to go back to all the sites and put in the info again.

Google Chrome Browser Look

One source is saying that Chrome already has a market share of 2.6%, not bad growth for one day.

Lets see how far they go ahead with Chrome, They have started it advertising all over Orkut, Youtube and other networks owned by Google Inc. I’ve seen people complaining that The two don’t go together so well (Chrome Browser and Facebook Ads):

1. It’s impossible to delete campaigns.
2. The little magnifying glass to quickly adjust bids no longer work.

It’s still a great browser though.

So in short, people have mix feeling, but lets hope Google does not face another failure with their new web product.
